Is it clear that you were rolled off because either your own team or the client was not happy with you?
Could have been due to financial reasons?

In June, I rolled off a good resource with only one week notice for a resource with a higher base cost and less experience for the same charge out rate. Why? Because leadership said I didn’t have a choice.
If it makes you feel better, the rolled off resource finished on a Friday and started a new project the next Monday....even during covid.

Seriously judging the 'share' numbers now...

See McK's post above yours
I was rolled off my first project due to politics and budget. But more so politics, I dealt with very direct managers who are very hard to work with and operate on a double standard. I was basically doing their work and then they just throw me under the bus when things go sideways. Looking back, I was charmed at interviews but those are the leaders you need to run away from! Good salespeople are always terrible bosses.

People get rolled off all the time, often with no warning.
90% of the time it's budget-related, not performance-related.
Did anyone else have to roll off with you?
Please get facts straight before panicking.
Confirm that it’s not performance related otherwise you should be good
I’m thinking client budget during times like this
They may blame in on the client budget when something else was the issue. Would ask for clarification then ask your cc to do the same.
All you can do is move forward.. Course correct/fix your approach and do better next time. What do you need to improve to address the areas where you could've done better?

Getting rolled off isn’t always due to performance. Was it confirmed that this is performance based and not due to budget cuts? About 90 percent of my team was suddenly rolled for budget cuts.

I think that’s a good sign for you. If it was due to budget cuts then I don’t think you have much to worry about.
I’d be very careful how you position it to your CC. Project needing a cheaper resource plays better than your poor performance.

OP, what’s the update?
