We (buyer) have signed a MASSACHUSETTS MANDATORY REAL ESTATE LICENSEE-CONSUMER RELATIONSHIP DISCLOSURE with our agent. Now we came across some other agent who we like more and want to put an offer on the house. Our current agent had also sent that house as a part of weekly listings. We have not signed any other contract with the current agent other than the disclosure. How can we get out of our equation with current agent? Any legal liabilities?

Depends what’s in the article you signed. Is there an out clause?

I signed an exclusive agreement with my RE agent but it only covers properties that she actually SHOWS me. So doesn’t count if she just sends me the listing. This is in Michigan.

So if it “doesn’t count” then no legal issues right? Confused by this question and response

As a law student interested in going into the field I’ve seen a lot of negative comments saying that only lawyers who couldn’t get into big law go into PA. Although I know most people try to get into big law initially, it is very competitive and many don’t stay past 2-3 years. You certainly don’t make as much going into PA as a lawyer but the pay is certainly not bad and the WLB is generally much better. It’s a myth that renting is “throwing money away.” Maintenance of a property is expensive! I’m selling my place and I’ve never felt more free. I can use that money (~$5000/month) to invest even more.
