(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

Anyone quit consulting to join a well established VC firm? Would like to understand:
1. What level I could come in if I am a M in consulting. Will it be a smart move?

I recently accepted an offer and have onboarding coming up. Any idea how busy I’ll be in the evenings for those couple of days? Trying to plan scenic destination wedding for central drivable location. Family in Ontario, Appleton WI, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, DC, and Houston.

Received an offer from Amazon but I'm concerned about negotiating hard and ending up with an offer that's on the higher end of the pay band when compared to the rest of the (future) team. My concern is during an economic downturn, it would be easier to let me go if the team needs to be downsized.
