Well 🐠, I did it. Finally got a job offer at a brand name tech company. Only took 6 interviews, 2 panel presentations, 1 rescinded job offer, 20+ hours of preparation, 7 months of waiting, and meanwhile getting passed over twice for internal promotion.

Current: Consultant, $135k, 8 yoe (6 yoe in consulting). HCOL city.
Offer: Pre-sales, $235k (70/30 base/bonus) and $45k RSU

Out of personal experience ,I can see that during compensation discussion HR person tries to convince a women candidate for a lesser package . Now this could also be the case where it is much easier to convince women to take up the job for lesser salary.
Whereas the male team member gets paid high (same YOE , same number of switch , similar prev CTC) though women are equally or more talented sometimes.
