Hi All, Just finished the process with Alix tech & Digital practice (VP) and A&M PEPI (SA) and got an offer from Alix and waiting for the salary details from A&M. Got an offer at Korean arm of a Big4 firm. They claim it's standard to offer a 1-year contract (indeed, every other office job I've had in Korea is a 1-year contract, but I've never been consultant). Korea also has robust employee protection and laws are different - you can't get fired after 3 months.

For anyone hired by a Korean firm, is this also normal for firms? I talked to friends stateside who told me to be wary since it's not "regular" status. Trying to verify ppl's experience.

Would you take a 7.5% raise to a startup company with 15% bonus (upwards of 30% for high performers which at Big4 been rated consistently high) plus stock.
