Are you looking for an exit in, say, South Dakota? $200 might be too high. In NYC? Comp is probably low.
Are you a homegrown M with <10 YOE? Comp might be too high. 15+ YOE? Comp might be low.
Is all your experience relevant? Comp might be too low. If not all of your experience is relevant, might be too high.
And so on.
There are a ton of variables that go into determining a comp ballpark: location, level of exit role, relevant YOE, certs, industry and particular company, and the role itself, to name just the main ones.
Your comp isn't necessarily defined by your title. It's defined by alot of other things including your YOE, education, quality of your experience, your ability to prove your worth it (during interviews) and the market rate for your location, skillset and profile. So no one tell you it's high or low unless your share more details.
Yea

10+ yrs exp in Financial Services. NYC... looking for exit in FSI NYC. I find this salary range game pretty hard 🙈
Low assuming move to a bank or consulting with a typical base + bonus. Good if it’s a sales role with a 60:40 base: commission. Good if it’s a role with a startup/Faang with a huge RSU component
