Please if you can help and advise?
I have just joined Amazon Retail as sr Program Manager a month ago. I miss banking/technology now. I have heard that I can move teams. I know it’s too early so I don’t know how to approach this situation and potential HMs. Reaching out to this community to seek help if you have similar roles for which you (or your network) is hiring, would you be able to help? It’s better to be in a relevant role and be best than performing poor in current role. Please help.

The above, but also:
- not being included in meetings, especially with clients
- if you’ve been given any performance feedback verbally and they follow up in writing
- a random invite to meet with HR on the 15th, 30th or a Friday afternoon
All of the above, but in Canada it’s never on a Friday, it’s usually after the weekend. Early or mid week.
Idk, I was in a long term project and was trusted a big project and was laid off in the middle of production. So, anything can really happen you know lol
AD1, I’m so sorry that happened to you. I hope you have landed somewhere that you like.
1. putting you on assignments that are not long term.
2. a company re org has just happened.
3. not having a partner.
4. any and all sign that you aren't a part of the core team.
Honestly, if you feel it in your gut you're probably right. Not because you have some super human powers, but because your boss and people around you are communicating that you are going to get fired via their vibe. Remember communication is only somewhat verbal. You're probably picking up on the other half.
Your company loses a client, your workload has been “light” for an extended period of time, you notice the company stops paying for certain nice-to-have perks that were once normal, you get taken off of projects, they start onboarding random team members (to fill in for someone about to get axed), PIPs, and any form of payment issue related to your checks or benefits. Keep your book updated at all times.
They just hired someone much younger than you (aka half your salary) with the same title as you
Then asked to mentor them! Been there!

When you spidey-sense start thinking you’re going to be laid off
I’d like to just weigh in again and offer my hope that OP is fine. There’s nothing worse than living with low level anxiety about being let go in the next week. It affects your entire physical well being. I know and I’ve been here a lot. Looking back, I regret all the negative life I led thinking the ax would fall. And when it actually did, I worried I would be screwed, when in fact I found out over time I ended up better off.

You work in the advertising industry.
When you feel the need to make a post like this is probably the most reliable sign.
It was better when I said it though.
- not put on large projects
- my workload was light AND those with similar job functions as mine also were light (too many ppl on the bench)
You have a job now
