Have you worked on a weekend? This is my first time experiencing this and I really want to raise this with my CD cause it’s concerning. Accounts are pushing me to send the layouts on a Sunday.
Friendly reminder to please stop telling your female coworkers that don’t want children “to just wait a few years - you’ll change your mind”. 😡
What's the best way to negotiate raises that you know are coming? Like i'm getting a raise, but if they offer 5K, can I come back with 7.5?
My IA fishes - considering jumping to IA for a 25% raise from my senior salary. How do you like it and how easy/hard is it for you to move internally to an analyst role if you aren’t loving it?
I always thought I was a strong negotiator but - Ppmd setup a 1:1 and asked if I was happy with previous year’s compensation and I hesitated saying I didn’t even get much promotion raise. I’m thinking now - Is mine a negotiation problem? Or, the female humbleness ?
If my director said I would be rated a 1 as a 2nd year, does that mean I should expect a promotion to senior come May? Not sure if you can be rated a 1 and not promoted.
KPMG Advisory, Strategy folks: what is the typical % raise at year end (i.e. merit raise) at the senior associate and manager levels?
C at Deloitte in consideration for promotion to SC. Taken on a lot more project work as I'm handling multiple engagements. What compensation package should I request? STEM MS/MBA, CISSP, 6 yrs exp.
Consultant at Deloitte , looking get promoted to SC in a few months. And nervous the pay raise wont meet my family’s needs/market offers elsewhere. Love Deloitte and consulting generally - so if I had to switch to another similar consultancy based on pay alone… who’d it be?
Any recommendations on how to negotiate a higher salary? Received a raise and it's lower than I anticipated. Not sure how to have this conversation
Anyone knows how much could be the hike on promotion from staff to senior , high contribution in EY GDS this year?
Should I leave now or wait till my senior promotion in the summer? Finishing up my second busy season and have absolutely no intention of sticking around for another after the stress this one has caused. I know the rule of thumb is to wait till senior promotion which I would get in August but I feel everyone will be job hopping this summer and it’s better to search now while less people are applying
I’m a senior litigation associate (same firm since I was a SA). I really like my colleagues, am doing the type of work I want to be doing, and will be up for promotion this year. Recently feeling a bit claustrophobic with RTO around the corner and the knowledge that the life of a junior partner is worse than a senior associate. I also have two young kids and am the primary breadwinner. Would you 1) stay for promotion; 2) look in house; 3) consider lateraling to fully remote at another firm? HALP
I can’t scroll past two posts on LinkedIn without seeing a Gut One Show post. That’s some well co-ordinated self promotion. I expect to see it entered as a LinkedIn hack in One Show next year.
How to negotiate salary offer at a startup given the following. Offer is -$5k my current salary, but I'm up for promotion in a few months which would bump me +~$10-15k, also have an offer from their direct competitor but it's -$10k my current salary since they are earlier stage. Do I have any leverage to negotiate the original offer or no?

Just joined a new project as an analyst that knows nothing about the subject (customer experience) really. I feel like there’s a big learning curve. During meetings, I can’t offer any insight because
Has Accenture announced terminations recently for the year? I got a curious LinkedIn invitation or two from old colleagues, wondering if they've been axed.
Women in consulting, what are some of the unique challenges you face in consulting that men might not know or understand?
Female colleague has period stain showing on light-colored skirt that is noticeable when she stands up. I feel sorry for her and understand it is a sensitive issue. How/do I approach? (I'm a guy)
Anyone received green card sponsorship from your firm? If so, when did you apply and how long did the process take?
The hours and travel in this job are ruining my relationship. While I realize my job is extreme and unreasonable, also don’t get why SO can’t just deal because my life is objectively harder. Thoughts?
Any good book recommendations?
Recommendations of good books to listen to during a drive or in the gym. I have credits on audible and I need to use them. I am mostly interested in finance, real estate, entrepreneurship, anything that will motivate me to get rid of a 9-5. TIA.
Anyone else rock the fuck out on the plane? I'm double woodford and 2 gin & tonics in and blasting shit in my jaybird X3's like: louder, more!! Lol music fills my soul, the clients drain it ;)
Left Deloitte because I felt like they are super behind in the crypto and blockchain space? Anyone else had a hard time trying to see what opportunities they had up and coming?
