Why type of financial analyst role are you targeting? Like strategic finance? Wouldn’t that take a considerable cut from PE comp?
SFA is a generic title for a lot of different responsibilities depending on where you go. Someone is always hiring for their finance team because it’s a necessary function.
Usually, it’s a comfortable 40-45 hours. Busy periods will depend on whether you are in a strategic role / corp dev, or more laid back accounting support doing book keeping and forecasting. Corp dev will pay more and likely be more interesting given your background.
Pay probably 125-150 at a shop that does its financial analysis in-house and isn’t just hiring accountants. Bonuses 5-15%
Depends if it’s at a start-up / tech sector. FP&A roles in strategy can pay north of $150k depending on company, YOE, etc. Not to mention the added bonus of stock options if it’s a start-up.
