What are the pro/cons of joining PortCo Operations team of large PE (think KKR Capstone, Blackstone Ops, Cerberus COAC, Platinum Ops)? Curious about (1) career trajectory, (2) general compensation and WLB for 6-8 YOE, (3) ultimate exits? Role is to do in-house support of deal team, diligence, investment structuring, managing advisors, some PortCo strategy. Seems interesting but a little concerned this is a bit of a niche role.
