Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?
Accenture Please provide your insights. This is my first switch so I ne more exposure
So what’s the new McK comp breakdown?

I’m 100% happier here than when I was at D. I like our culture better, but really at the end of the day we all just have different emails.

D = mean people
E = nice people

I still text my old D coworkers almost weekly. I don’t talk to my EY coworkers outside of work. Granted, when I worked at D it was normal travel so I formed a bond with my team that you can’t do WFH, but I don’t agree with such broad brush strokes like this, it will vary from SL to SL. Some SLs will be better at D, some at EY, OP shouldn’t be basing their opinion on posts without this context

The vast majority of people I’ve met at EY have been good at heart, understanding, & generally pleasant to work with. Can confirm SC1’s remark that every company has its pockets of toxic ***holes, though (probably more in consulting than someplace like big tech). Really comes down to which group you are able to navigate into.
Depends on country...
I keep hearing that KPMG is low key but you can’t expense lunch. That is no longer relevant, so I’m curious as to what else there is. One thing that’s bothered me about Deloitte is the insane compliance culture regarding finances, hours, etc. I imagine that’s consistent across the Big 4, but perhaps it’s not a huge deal at some?

I’ve worked at both Deloitte and KPMG and would echo EY1’s perspective.
Ten years at Deloitte, going on four years at KPMG. I like the culture much better at K. Less backstabbing, self promotion, and stealing other’s ideas, etc. Seems like K is 4-5 years behind Deloitte so I can predict how our leaders want to invest and change. Downside, there’s a helluva lot less BD “hustle” here and it shows.

This is a huge YMMV thing. I’m in tech/cyber and worked at D a year ago and idek if I did a single firm initiative. More or less the same at EY. This will definitely vary by service line and the group you work in/with.
tbh I don't think our firms care too much about what the cyber people do as long as cyber is cyberd

OP what are you talking about “draconian”? As in because they stopped making PRD a requirement, that’s a bad thing?
I think EY is the best in terms of culture 😂
