Looking at entering interviews for Atlassian and Adobe but want to sure the compensation level is worth it before investing the time and would like to understand the market so I don’t undersell myself if I do go ahead. I have an interview for EY fso group and I was wondering what kinds of questions they ask and if they also have a case interview?

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.

Have interviews set up at FAANG co and getting good signals, for a position that was posted widely (all across US) but not remote. Haven’t broached the subject of location yet. Would you (1) early on clearly state that you’re not open to relocation but that you would be open to visiting a big office once or twice a month; (2) not say anything now and wait to get an offer and ask for an exemption; or (3) something else?

I’m a jr SWE and have successfully landed an interview with Google. It’s time for the coding and interview rounds. I’m a wreck. What was the best way to prep for this portion of the interview?

Amazon recruiter reached out and wants to know my general compensation expectations before first interview. Very little info available on role but seeing $150k-$250k total compensation reported. Is this too wide of a range to give them?
