Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

Totally depends on the org and also who you work for. Work for someone who treats you well and gives you good responsibility, then it will be fun. Work for someone who doesn't trust you and has a tough staff then it will suck.
Could be very strategic, right hand of the executive vs organizing events and writing emails. Can be high growth if the executive you are supporting grows and brings you along, and can be high risk if the executive is not performing well in the org. Really contextual. Can also be long hours. Very important to ask questions and make sure it’s the right fit.

Depends on the org. Could range anything from an executive assistant type role to actually doing Operations type work.
Also depends on gender and company. At mine, female representation is very low. If a female goes into cos role, it becomes an admin role. I think that stinks, so I fight for chief operations titles instead of cos.
You are essentially Hand of the King, e.g. Tyrion
This is a CoS to the CEO but the CEO doesn't have an executive assistant yet (they are planning to hire one in a few months). The recruiter mentioned that role would be 50% reporting / decks / board presentations and 50% strategic discussions. Doesn't seem like the best setup. Agree?
