That's definitely more helpful context. Udemy has a few good practice exams. One course on udemy also has last minute tips and fact sheet for jogging your memory around pricing concepts and what each service does in AWS. Also, having your exam room clean, ready for the online proctor to look at and having your ID ready will be helpful. Good luck 🤞

What kind of fraud are we into today?

likefunny

The cert is easy and all you need to memorize are the basic AWS services covered in the training videos. Write those down along with descriptions and study them.

I’ll lend you mine

like

Have you heard of Photoshop?

Joking aside, have you taken the exam? If you haven't, there's no way to get the cert.

like

Do you have any technical knowledge? If so, then create an AWS account and go through an overview of all the services, do an udemy practice test, and review the answers.

like

There is a four hour video on YouTube by freecodecamp which is pretty good.

like

So you can use free training videos to pass it? Do u have to pass that first before the harder ones? Where are the free training videos

On AWS learning there are like 6 hours of videos to go over all the services they have

Read the white pages on their website. Much better and faster than watching those god awful videos

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

Hi! So i've been doing "all the things i was supposed too" since i graduated. I have two masters dgs, my admin cert, 15 years teaching, and all that good stuff. The problem is that I don't want to do it anymore. I think of becoming an admin and I cringe. I have a photo business that I have been doing part time for yrs and it's becoming just as lucrative as teaching, with so much less stress. A part of me wants to just quit and do that full-time am I wasting all that education? Thoughts? do it?

Worked so hard to get a tech exit with reasonable comp, but now that I got it, it feels weird to leave strat consulting. Consulting pays more in the longer term with much faster progression, but once in tech always in tech, more meaningful S&O work and better wlb (hopefully??)

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?
