What do I even DO on a mental health day? Sometimes the pressure to make it "productive" defeats the purpose.

I curled with my cats and watched mindless tv and vacuumed! Oh, and most importantly, I did not tell my husband I had one, or he might find something for me to do.

You measure “productivity” on what would make you feel the best. Sometimes that’s cleaning or reorganizing something that’s been weighing on you and sometimes it’s watching trash TV and eating Ben and Jerry’s. Sometimes it’s a hike; sometimes it’s a nap.
You get to decide 🙂

like

You do nothing. Lay in bed. On the couch. Watch something on your watchlist. Take a walk. Ride the peloton. Talk on the phone. Grab an iced coffee. Nap. Cry. Scream. Whatever you need to do to get through these trying times, friend.

Or if that doesn't feel right and you feel the need to be ‘productive’… you can run errands/study/go to therapy/journal/exercise/clean/organize/plan for the future…..

Being productive can also include resting your mind and body so that you can be more present on days you have to be ‘on’ 🫶🏼

Hello everyone ,
I’m currently working in insurance customer service at an agency. I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. What are some good companies I maybe should apply for after getting my license?

Well I recently told a guy I have been seeing I have HSV-2. We have not yet been physical but it’s been heading that direction. Man I hate this part - waiting to see what his response will be after he researches and talks to his doctor. I’m on daily meds which help reduce transmission risk. You’d think that since HSV-2 affects 20% of Americans and likely a higher % of gay men, there would be less taboo but it’s hardly ever talked about. Anyone else in my shoes? Or had it disclosed to them?

What are some high powered industries or jobs that allow you to make lots of money but still be able to workout. And by workout I mean lift or train for endurance. Not a 20 min spin at your house.

Yoga folks! I used to do yoga and exercise frequently. Things happened, getting back on the wagon. I'd love to work up to a daily practice even if it's just a few mins - but I do need to incorporate other programming as I've got some covid lbs to lose. For those of you who do yoga regularly, wondering how you incorporate and/or balance your practice vs. other types of workouts or if you mostly do strengthening type yoga in that case.
