Hi Fishes,
I am at a career standpoint where i am really confused what to do.
I have 4+ yoe in RPA .I really dont think its sustainable as a career .I am willing to learn and move into something different.
But what i am really confused is how would i manage to switch jobs without any prior experience?
I already earn 13-15 lpa,why would anyone offer me same level of package without experience?
People who do a successful career switch, please share your stories. In need of some motivation

Am a yoga teacher. There are all types of yoga. Ashtanga and vinyasa - especially in traditional studios that will heat the room - burn lots of calories. Even when I teach these formats (and only demonstrate poses without doing the actual class) I come out with nearly a 300 calorie burn. Sculpt classes take it up a notch by adding weights to our flow. Easy 500 calorie burn. Bikram also gets me a 500+ calorie burn easily (when I take, am not certified in that format).
Hatha practice is more focused on breathing and stretching. Definitely won’t get you what you want in terms of lbs to lose.
I say explore. I do yoga 4 to 5 times a week, alternating based on what I need (a good sweat, strength training, or a good stretch) and swim 2 to 3 days a week. Taking it easy on my joints after years of running.
One day a week I focus on endurance, so I work on how many laps I can do without needing a break
One day a week I go for speed and I time myself on laps. After timing my first lap I only count the others if I hit or beat that time.
If I get a third day, I focus on arms or legs. Doing laps with just the kickboard - holding it and kicking, or holding it between my legs and only using arms.
I was not a formal or competitive swimmer ever, so I went online and found a workout that suits me.
I do a mix: hot yoga once a week, restorative yoga on weekends, kickboxing or cardio twice a week, dance once a week, and running or walking to train for races. I also do weight training some days but I prefer doing group workouts that involves strength training.
Remember to eat well, too as that’s 80% of this type of journey!!

This mostly sounds like you do workouts/things you enjoy haha. I can get behind that.
I’m in the exact same spot and go to a guided yoga class 2x a week and do couch to 5k 3-4x a week to help with endurance/weight loss.
For me signing up for a class is really important so an instructor can let me know when I’m out of form.
I gained 30 pounds during lock down from stress and lack of exercise and I am ready to lose it!! I also count calories with the Lose It app.
I haven’t done anything overly aggressive and have already lost 5 pounds in about 2 weeks. I think it’s just a matter of doing something and holding yourself accountable.
Best of luck!! ❤️

Congrats!
Thanks for the inspiration.
My yoga has become a habit for me; I have been doing sculpt yoga once a week and 2-3 times hot yoga, so I do yoga about 3-4 times a week. I have been religiously doing yoga for over a year now, and I don’t regret it. It helps control my stress. Through yoga, I have learned how to level set, focus, and get things done.
I loooove corepower because they have yoga sculpt which incorporates weights! They also have two or three vinyasa classes so I switch off intensity depending on how I feel. Other than that I walk for exercise

You can’t outrun a poor diet. Dial your planned deficit in through nutrition and do the yoga you enjoy.
I actually just did CorePower yoga on YouTube and on demand and walking 5 days a week and it got me my last 15 lbs of weight lost (total of 25), a very healthy pregnancy, 32 lbs lost post pregnancy (30 lbs gained), and a healthy postpartum. Difference is I was doing the hour long C2s pre-pregnancy and during. Then down to 30 mins later in pregnancy, now 20 mins as a mom. Lost some me time in there..lol. It’s all fine bc I’m in weight maintenance phase now.
Yoga + weight lifting is the perfect combo
I love stronglifts 5x5. I know it is a beginner program but it hits everything, and when life gets in the way and you can’t exercise as much as you want, you always hit your whole body. You can do yoga on your down days, or shorter practices when you wake up or go to bed any day of the week
A little behind on the yoga right now. My primary activity is cycling. But the training app I use Wahoo SYSTM incorporates yoga and strength training into their training plans. They also have plans for runners and tri-athletes.

Interesting; I've got a bike too - will check it out. Thanks!
