Has anyone used a recruiter to find an in house job? Really want to get out of insurance defense, but I feel I'm not marketable.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. I am an SA1 in the UK, 3 years in the firm. In the UK there’s a threat of losing your job if you fail your cpa equivalent exams twice. My anxiety started from there when I sat my final 3 exams in July and it builds up as I started to work a very complex big job straight after the exam. I have also been constantly working busy seasons (dec, march, june, and sept year end) and I it is pretty taxing. Taking short term mental health leave now but not sure how it will be better when I’m back, advice?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.
