McKinsey & Company Anyone here working in cyber at McKinsey or BCG? Would be curious to learn about the work you do and whether you’re hiring/referring. Nothing and everything. I'm being harsh, but honestly, COVID has made everything awful.
The work never ends. Partners are home all the time, and all they do is ruminate in their thoughts and ideas, making everyone else miserable. They ask for data and spreadsheets and numbers and analysis all the time...and it's ALWAYS urgent...but they don't actually look at it until 4 days later. Most of them are empty nesters, and have absolutely nothing going on outside of work.

On the day to day, you’re almost as « independent » as a partner, but have none of the power / revenue / recognition.
And you’re on your own basically, no one thinks it’s their role to help you grow and manage your workload or check if you’re doing well.

Very interesting that I have the exact opposite experience of EY1 & 2, must be home grown folks bc I’m making bank 😂
Love the strategy work and getting to see security programs I designed being put into action...hate that I'm not old enough to move to industry yet.
Does EY really underpay?
Absolutely! Home grown and internal transfer get screwed on pay. External experienced hires get paid way more than others.
Love the work and sone of the folks I work with, hate everything else - pay, role, rest of the dumbass colleagues, organization culture, Sr. Management who've lost the plot and are clueless.
