So a staff engineer with the power of agents/LLM could do the work of an entire team by themselves, if and only if its done correctly.
I think the trap has become that if you don't know how to validate what the LLM does that path is cutoff, you can't get to staff "vibe coding" because what you build will explode faster then ever.
Previously, without these tools you could almost "fake it till you make it" and as long as you play within the scope of what you know you can produce results and eventually turn into staff. But now you can fake it, make anything and watch it all crumble.
So learn the tool(s) and you can still make it. You can't avoid LLMs/agents, they are too powerful of an accelerate, but they are also the most powerful foot gun out there.

Appreciate the input! I agree it’s not avoidable at this point. Sure you can validate but are you really learning the language at that level?
