Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter, to be approved by L4), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa. After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).

I don't have any other offer as of now. What should I do?

I recently lateraled into Big Law. Most of my colleagues are homegrown. My shift did involve a big change in practice area, and there's work that I haven't done before that I now have to do.

But, sometimes I feel stupid here, even for work which I have done previously. It's like I'm unable to understand instructions the first time around. And I have seen my colleagues getting annoyed by that. It's like I've become dumb. In my defence, I could say they're giving half assed instructions.

I’m a 9th year in a mostly litigation-based practice group at a one-tier partnership firm. My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?

Salaries have really been spiking. I am curious what the salary for a Principal/ Junior Partners would be in a mid-sized accounting firm now. In January I was approached for $200K for a senior manager role. Now a head hunter has approached me with $225K.

Here is my current cocktail: Caffeine 400mg (200 when I wake up then another 200 when I go to the gym 30 minutes later), Modafinil 150, Bupropian XL 150. Anyone else have a need to exercise daily? A lot of people judge me in a negative way and in reality it is because my ADHD brain needs it. 1) the consistency for schedule 2) exercise can help tone down the symptoms before I sit down for the work day 3) it is the only thing I can control to make it look like I am not a mess (disorganization, interrupting) - basically trying to stay in the game at work based on perception of “having it together”.
