1800 or less for associates
More like 1600 for partners
Lots of PT deals at 1000-1400 for counsel
Agree with this. I'm at a "lifestyle" firm and it has a very loose 1800 target but associates are bonus eligible at 1600. I'm stepping back to a reduced hour role that's likely to be around 1200.
Im at 1800 requirement but billing 2200 and honestly i dont feel like i sold my soul and have my weekends …..
One thing you dont understand, AGC 1, I am doing plaintiff block billing. That standard does not apply to me. I rephrased. There are days im working until 8 or so, and some weekends. 9-9 for 2200 hours yikes. Either someone sucks at billing or not efficient its one or the other.
<= 1800
1600
Very surprised at people saying 1800. I’m in biglaw and my firm requires 1900. 1800 is not nearly enough of a reduction to be worth significant cut in pay.
1600. I’ve always had an 1800 requirement and I still feel like it’s a lot. But maybe that’s just me.
Agree. I’m 12 years in and 1800 plus my nonbillable expectations is too much
I’m fully remote at 1700, and it’s fantastic.
1800
If a true lifestyle firm (most say they are, but aren’t) - 1500 hours. But expect to be paid accordingly.
