I'm someone who has jumped firms a lot and am currently being pushed out of my current firm. I don't want to jump again, but I also don't want to lose this job with nothing lined up. Has anyone been in this situation? Were you let go without a job? How did you recover?

After getting released from my project I joined new project desperately. In interview client as well as D project manager mentioned all the technologies I have previously worked on will be there.
But now after getting whole project idea I think they have lied to me and this is very old legacy system support project.

What would you choose between palantir and a small startup with great growth opportunities?

If I get laid off, I have a previous colleague that started a cybersecurity company. I would love to get involved on the business side of it. Any pointers on skills that are attractive in this realm for a startup? Would be mostly (if not all) federal defense contracting clients. I’m currently in Deloitte’s cyber risk practice but my background and passion is in accounting and finance, and business operations. Graduated in 2017 so still early career.

For those that have switched from Big 4 to MBB, how was the switch and any advice?

Is it typical that work done by associates on contingency cases isn’t counted toward their billable hour requirements unless and until we receive our fee on the case? Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.
