Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

I currently hold a bachelor in accounting and I am looking into transition to the Cybersecurity world. I have an interest in working with the banks doing penetration testing.

How can I get started ?

Going to Tahoe to ski in Feb. I have the option of a 1.5 layover in PHX or 3.5 hours in AUS.

Technically, if you are rich enough, isn’t self-insurance the best option? Insurance companies have to make money by taking in more in premiums than paying out in claims, so on average the customer is losing money and has a negative (albeit stable) NPV on their insurance money.
