55k at bigger shops

^ the above is really low. I’d look to get $60k as that’s fairly standard. No lower than $55k

Not true. 50-60k is average. 60k is rare as a junior though. I got 54k with a portfolio degree.

Anything from 50-60 although in NYC if you make less than 60k they have to pay you overtime so even 50k is probably higher than that once it’s said and done

If you make less than 57 and have junior in your title by nyc law you get OT. At least at all the big shops.

Actually to go off the OT topic, if you get 58 or higher no OT. Aim for 55k and make sure there is OT, a junior recently doubled their 55k salary with their overtime at my shop. I hear it’s taxed a decent bit but that they can out making more than most mid levels. It’s the perfect way to incentivize you jumping on every project possible. Which helps you on the long run.

Had an interview where the agency said they don't do "junior / mid / senior" levels in their creative department. My CW and I are st that stage where that seniority is important for us and for our future progression. Is it one of those things that we fight for on the contract, or just sign anyway and just put "senior creative" on our LI title? I've never come across this before, so any experience or thoughts are appreciated.

Anyone know the salary band for 2 YOE in consulting at a big 4? Just got promoted from A to C and if I got a 10% raise I’d only be at $63k which I think is severely underpaid.

Client demands we remove 2 different people from their account in 2 months — for nit-picky pretty ridiculous reasons. One month later complains that there is too much turnover on the team.
