What is PwC COE? Is it truly fully remote? Do you have to live in the city you are “based” out of?

It is fully remote and you don't have to relocate to anywhere. Their work in general is that if you are in treasury group you will work with cash, debt and equity to test certain aspect of it as an extension of their external auditor. It’s repetitive in nature and not client facing. They have other pods as well.

like

It is client facing as well

To add on to the above, you can live anywhere but you have to update your location to make sure you are getting paid in line for your cost of living. You get to choose where this will be though.

Nah dm ME for refereal

What is the nature of the work? Is it audit only? Controls and substantive? Seems like it would get monotonous just doing treasury all day everyday. I wonder if you could rotate between the pods.

Hi there - my company is returning to office next month. Hybrid to begin before they ramp up to 5 days back in office by end of year.

I think the fact they want to bring us back 5 days is disrespectful considering how much work we’ve put in remotely over the last year. Not to mention productivity studies say people who WFH (and have no kids) are substantially more productive.

All that being said, does anyone work at a FinTech/Tech company whose RTTO policy is more flexible? Looking to leave

Sharing my experience with Deloitte USI interview and offer negotiation. I gave Deloitte interview 2 months ago. After managerial round I did multiple follow ups and Deloitte didn’t bother to reply. I moved on and got another offer. After 1 month Deloitte came back and asked for documents and didn’t show up for another 1 month. Today HR called and asked my expectations. I have 23.5 in hand so I asked for 26 which she said out of budget. Then I asked 23.5 fixed atleast. Contd… in comments

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.
