Hi there - my company is returning to office next month. Hybrid to begin before they ramp up to 5 days back in office by end of year.

I think the fact they want to bring us back 5 days is disrespectful considering how much work we’ve put in remotely over the last year. Not to mention productivity studies say people who WFH (and have no kids) are substantially more productive.

All that being said, does anyone work at a FinTech/Tech company whose RTTO policy is more flexible? Looking to leave

My firm sent an email to it's associates about how important 'everyone' to participate in physical inventory check yesterday. Today, another email was sent that no one is forced to do that because they said everyone can work from home till the end of this year.. I am confused. I don't want to do physical ones because I do not feel safe but I fell like it could negatively impact my performance rating later on....

Hey all! My SO and I (gay dudes) are looking to move to CO/UT for 3-4 this winter to be close to the mountains and ski every weekend (+ plan to take a few weeks off). We’ve been looking at Aspen Snowmass mostly. Aspen itself seems to be too expensive but we found some affordable places in Basalt and El Jebel. Any tips from the group? We CTE teachers are disproportionately affected by remote learning! With kids spending 50% to zero time in the lab actually USING the tech (chefs in kitchens, carpenters in woodshops, mechanics in garages, cameramen in studios, etc) how are we supposed to teach them anything? All theory and no "hands-on" does not prepare one for a career.

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?

We have an office manager, who is in charge of greeting clients and anybody who walks through the doors, returning of keys, etc., our office manager wants to work a hybrid schedule and we are not opposed to it as long as we can ensure client satisfaction and that the office is orderly. Has anybody been able to make this work?

Deloitte is remote until at least Sept 6, you can only access offices earlier with express permission. Some limited travel is occurring to client site prior to then.

Saw on LinkedIn that Georgia Pacific is letting vaccinated people return too the office now and soon will let all back who want to be - but if you are unvaccinated you must wear a mask and keep certain distance from others. Unsure of all of the details of that.
