Hi Everyone, I have been an HR Generalist for close to 7 years. I had good managers and poor managers in between. My VP once told me not to pursue my MBA because she would teach me everything she knew. She never did. I am currently going for my SHRM SCP. I really enjoy being a Generalist but I don’t know if I want to be an HR Manager. Any suggestions on other areas of HR I should consider?

Hello fishes. I'm a MBA graduate currently working as a digital marketing professional in a mid size consulting firm with 3 years of experience. I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA. Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA

I have been waiting to join Deloitte with H1B transfer. Received RFE early march and waiting for BAL to send response. It has been almost 2 months and getting really anxious. What does everyone think about the probability of a recession? I got two interesting opinions yesterday. My loan officer (we are closing on a house next week) thinks a recession is imminent which will push down rates and give me the ability to refinance. A financial advisory (he helps me manage a relatively small IRA) thinks we have a 20% chance of a recession and this pullback is a good opportunity to buy broad based index funds (as a long term investment). I realize each have motives.

Interviewed for an in-house position. I was told that the position was remote through the majority of next year, but they would eventually like someone on site. Definitely understandable, of course! However, there seemed to be some flexibility here as some employees will remain remote indefinitely. I am interested in working remotely and flying out as needed, etc. Any room for negotiation? If so, at what point do I bring it up in the interview process?

My concern is that I feel I didn’t cover a lot of relevant things in my analysis. Anyone here on a sponsored worker visa? I am switching employers to Accenture. I am being told I cannot clear a right to work check until my BRP arrives. And because of this I will need to have my start date pushed by two weeks (start date is mid Jan right now, visa approved yesterday and they need the documents by end of week). Does this make sense? I'm trying to argue my case as I don't like the idea of losing two weeks, and I am approved. I cannot control the post delivery times...
