What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans? Also, which one is better: Aetna or United health insurance?

United Healthcare let out a new health insurance specifically based for self-employed individuals, families, and small businesses. Essentially it cuts COBRA costs in half. It's PPO coverage with amazing benefits. I'd love to share some more info if you all are interested.
