I want to travel but I also don’t 😩
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Depends on where you are with your current salary. Generally speaking I would say $150k - $165k. Other factors would include whether or not you have an MBA. While negotiating, you also have to remember that EY has a terrible bonus structure. PwC had a much better one (I’m ex-PwC).
The above range is high end but not unreasonable. Id say more like 130-150 for most people. Depending on experience maybe a little more. 165k would be very top end e.g. 10 years experience, MBA, already a manager at pwc etc. Culture
Continuing... culture is very collaborative and almost friendly. People will reply to your information requests and are open to invites to coffee, lunch, happy hour for networking and most senior leaders respect family life and weekends generally
Thanks this is helpful! I have a call about the offer today, and had read about the bonus structure at EY. So wanted some inputs to negotiate. And also wanted to make sure the team culture is as good as it seemed during the interviews.
PwC 1 - I’m between 200k - 230k. I came in at a higher range. Hope this helps!
Following.
130 -150 makes more sense. 165 is probably high end of M2 , in tier 1 city.
I got a really good offer from EY. I was D1, but came in as manager. They superseded my director salary to get me at Manager here. Non MBA, 7 years in consulting, 2 prior in industry. So if they like you, they’ll probably come back with a solid offer.
Ey1 .. can you share your comp range ? Guessing you are at high end of M3.
All in or base only ? .. either ways, that is high..Nice job EY1! Wish I had skills to negotiate like that.
Also, are you in tier 1 city? And do you know if EY factors location into consideration for salary? .. asking coz I am also in discussions with the same group (similar experience)
PwC 1 - that’s just base. Also had a solid sign on bonus. I am in tier 1 city. Did not move. And yes, location does factor in. Obvious cities - NYC, SF, LA, DC etc. get a higher band. Chicago, ATL, Seattle, Houston etc. are on a slightly lower band. Similar model to pwc’s tier cities. If you’re relocating cities, the allowance is $15k, max $20k. You also have to realize, I forgo a solid bonus structure as a director (20-40%) at PwC, so that’s also why I came in higher for EY.
Thank you for the insight EY1.
