I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

OP that's atrocious. What kind of projects are you on? Unless you're doing CDD work you shouldn't be at 60/week, and from what I know there shouldn't be that much CDD work in Toronto
Mid 40s maybe. Def not 60
Depends on project but think on average I’m in the mid 50s
It is non-existent
I find it wild people would want to work at B4 doing same hours as MBB but for a fraction of the comp
Obviously no one is picking EYP/Big 4 over MBB. The problem is the Canadian market is so small that theres only a handful of firms that make solid comp. The network, learnings and brand name are usually enough to get decent exits from big 4 strategy teams
