Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. Point is valid. But with fierce competition for talent among companies.. If you don't respect their wishes.. They will leave the company
Choice is yours
Mediocre talent +yes man
Great talent + own terms and conditions
Decide between these..

Yes.. A fresher must work for atleast 1.5-2 years of his starting from office. This will help him to ease into corporate.
After that.. He can decide what he wants

Won't those freshers ask for help from seniors even if they are working from office?
Rising Star
Yes that's also true
'Pick' the right ones. If someone else is picking, then you were like that too. If not in your current work then to someone else in some other work. Yes, I faced the same but I looked at it differently and positively. My suggestion would be to help him till the point it won't hamper your time genuinely. Get rid of this thoughts and you will be in a much better place to handle these without posting in social media.

They do try stuff themselves and when they are unable to proceed, they ask for help. This generally leads to a waiting period of 3-4 hours. Generally, things they are blocked on are trivial which takes little time to get unblocked.
Appreciating effort is all fine, but that doesn't solve for inefficiency. Some of those folks are really struggling. I have given them hints to come to office for "better learning", basically sugarcoating that they might be in trouble if they do not ramp up, but they seem adamant on WFH. Upto them now. Upto them to understand what is working for them and what is not.
Huh man I literally struggled last year coz of wfh.
