What is with NYC/EWR and Thursdays? Either the weather sucks or there's air traffic problems. Every freaking Thursday!

More than every Thursday. Eventually the underinvestment in NYC transportation infrastructure will put a more serious constraint on the area's growth and sustainability.

Should just start booking earlier flights with the expectations of 2 hour delays

Take LGA

Hey friends. My wife and I are looking to start investing in the market outside of our 401ks, hsa etc. We opened a Charles Schwab brokerage account and planning to transfer 2-3k/mo. We’re in our late 20s/early 30 and likely won’t need to touch the money for 10+ years. What should be our investment strategy? How should we allocate to what funds? Thinking of splitting evenly across large, mid, small caps, and growth, value funds using DCA.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

Is it too much to ask a home health company for someone to shadow/orient? I was just hired PRN and that was something I asked for during the hiring process and the recruiter agreed. Never heard back and it’s been several weeks yet keep getting texts from the schedule if office to see patients. Is this typical for home health or a red flag? I have only worked in SNF and acute so I am new to HH plus this company specializes in lymphedema therapy. I am a CLT but want just a little but of training.

Hi all,
I’m a practice manager with about 7 years of healthcare industry experience, 4 of those at a managerial level. My background ranges from research, process improvement, business development, some data analytics. I’m really looking to find a remote (or hybrid) position in San Diego, CA. If anyone has suggestions on organizations hiring, etc. would love to chat!

Looking for good half marathons to run in San Jose. New to the area. All the upcoming races are either hill or trail runs. Are there any road races for a flatter option?

Cisco

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time
