Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

Al Maha for my honeymoon at full board (all meals, including even free delivery to your room) paid entirely with points was insane
Also Ksar char bagh in Marrakech with Hyatt points and an amazing upgrade
Both for my honeymoon
I was globalist. But also I think they were upgrading most people, hotel wasn’t full
Go for Al Maha though. It’s Marriott and that’s the real steal. Funny thing is the web doesn’t say point rates are full board, but they are!

10 nights in the maldives split between St Regis and Ritz Carlon during peak season. Over $55k hotel room cost for free 🤑

It would have cost that but i had points from work travel so it was free since it wasnt even my spend for the points
Cashed in a bunch of saved miles/points for honeymoon 10 nights in 4/5 star hotels in Hawaii and Round trip biz/first class flights all on points. Would have cost me like $15k. Second best I just booked 5 nights at 5 star Hyatt all inclusive where cash price was $860/night for 113k points total. Got it in before the charts adjusted
Thats a sick redemption
32.5k round trip denver <-> tokyo last month 😮💨
Proposed to my wife in Vienna, used points and an upgrade, and ended up getting this room for the big night.
Mr. Fancy. 👍👍👍
JFK - LHR in BA First for 68K Avios (transferred 55K Amex points since there was a 25% transfer bonus in effect at the time) + $880 the day before the flight. Cash price was $12K+
4 nights at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar next weekend for 92K Hyatt points total (cash rate was $1000/night)
3 nights at MGM Grand Las Vegas this past September for 48K Hyatt points total (cash rate was ~$500/night)
MGM is free if you gamble just a little. I get unlimited free nights (up to 4 at a time) at MGM grand, Aria, Bellagio, etc.
OP what’s your story? How did you accumulate points? Where are you going to stay? What was the process in making that decision?
I've learned a ton from the free course from 10x Travel
Pretty much the same. For me, it ruined vacation and hotels in general forever. 10/10 would recommend.
Ventana Big Sur is tough to get on (Hyatt) points, but if you can, definitely do. Built by the producers of Easy Rider, it’s an old Hollywood haunt with just 60 rooms on the beautiful (quiet, secluded) central California coast. We used a suite night upgrade to get room #2, which was definitely bigger than our 1000 sq ft house at the time and featured jacuzzi tubs inside and outside. AND this put us into the full board package, which included 3 meals, room service and all pool snacks. The restaurant at the edge of the cliffs was gorgeous, and if you go definitely join the guided hike through the redwoods on property. It’s all just insanely beautiful. Adults only (no kids), but dogs are very welcome.
I believe Ventana all includes board now. However, even non-guests can dine at the restaurant for lunch, or have drinks at the bar. After reading up on the hotel a bit more, and having had lunch/drinks there, that's the route I think I'd take - and stay at one of the other gorgeous (fewer points required) Hyatt properties in Carmel/Big Sur.
LAX to EWR in United Polaris class for 12.500 miles + $5.60 tax. Did this twice. It was a great value.
Two nights at a 5 star hotel in Madrid for 12k points per night (~$600 per night normal cost)
To my knowledge it’s still available (Thompson Madrid). Someone had found it and posted online so I looked into it
