Unless it’s for lifetime not worth it, actually take that back if you’re going to do a lot of personal travel next year then yes.
You lucky duck
It’s hit or miss with ambassadors, so I’d say not worth your own money. Plus they may make an exception given how close you are. (Last year I had 99 nights and since I’d had ambassador before, they bumped me up). Here’s a good list of what it can do for you if you’ve got someone good

Nah man, it’s a glorified secretary. No real tangible benefits.
$400 on $20k is so close, try to make it happen unless 100% out of your pocket, even then...
I’m hoping the program will be much better once it weeds out people with less then $20k spend.
I’ve had it for the past 5 years and definitely nothing special. It’s actually a bigger let down when you request your “ambassador” to do something and they don’t come through. I’m now at the point where I don’t make a request because I get more pissed off when it doesn’t happen.
I wouldn’t expect service levels to improve
Got my forst welcome email. From the bat... was generic copy paste and even out of date talking about upcoming dates - in the past! Great indication of personal service. Also, whomever is the marketing genius that made the letter sound more like an invasion of privacy should be shot.
