First one sounds like a dream tbh.

I think this depends on where you are in your career. Are you looking to develop your skills to build your resume, or have you already leveled up a bunch and, now that you've earned the cushy #1 gig, you can focus a bit more on your life outside of the office?
Because #1 sounds like a no-brainer to me, unless you think you will have a hard time landing another job after that if you get laid off. Consider that job 1 may give enough spare time to develop other skills that may aid your career indirectly, even if it seems like it's "mindless."
Agree with LP1. Fully remote means you can escape to LCOL area so salaries aren’t that far apart in buying power. And with no real partnership track, you don’t even have the brass ring to shoot for. You can volunteer or do other things to grow your skill set. And my experience has been that 45-50 usually morphs into 55-60, without concomitant compensation increase. The only thing the higher-paying job gets you is more interesting and challenging work. There was a time when I’d have gone that direction. Now a subject-matter expert in my mid-50s with 6-year-old twins and a hubby who must work on-site in his career; flexibility and understanding are much more important to me.
I have to make some court appearances in NYC so I need to stay in the area
I think Job 1 is a relatively low-commitment position that provides you with a lot of flexibility. Still, you have to ask yourself how engaged you want to be in your work. If you want more engagement with a bit more money, it’s job 2.
All depends on where your priorities lie.
