What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.
I’m new here. Can I please get some likes 😩

I have to be honest, I'm having those days where everything clicks less and less frequently, but knowing it's my job and not my life is helping. What keeps me going are my hobbies mostly. If I didn't have those to help me disconnect, I know I'd be struggling.
That one phone call - where you help someone- so worth it all! Also just relaxing / hanging with friends to balance the tough times.
Knowing I've got bills to pay. I love those days where everything clicks and I feel like I'm making a difference, but those days are few and far between. On all the others, the knowledge that I need this job to survive gives me all the motivation I need.
True! The paycheque even if it doesn't feel enough keeps me going some days too!
Government work can be slow and heavy, but I stay grounded in the moments that remind me why I started ,when a caregiver feels seen, a rural elder finally gets access, or a new connection opens a door. The system may move slowly, but the impact is real. That’s what keeps me going.

That's beautiful ❤️ thanks for sharing and keep it up!
There are times I'll feel discouraged and just exhausted, and I'll remind myself of an instance where what we do made a positive impact. It's easy at times to get wrapped up in our own challenges and various obstacles and issues of office politics and so on. But if I stop and think about the end product and how it affects people, that can be gratifying.
Thanks for that reminder! You have no idea how much I needed to hear that! What's one of those moments for you?
I really love servant leadership. In spite of the muck of hovering management and regulations tying our hands behind our backs, encouraging, motivating my teams for success and upward mobility (next steps/ level) is the blessing. I mentor individually and as a team. I KNOW my staff personally and that is over 50% of the battle. If they know I care, then they care about making us proud to serve our community to the very best of their ability.

AMAZING! there is nothing better than being seen as human by a manager or supervisor! If they don't tell you they appreciate, I know they do because I do!
We are the red tape. Remember we have some control over that when we recommend changes to a process to either add or remove. We can also help people thru processes to ease “red” tape. When I found an issue I also tried to find a resolution. Help those I served not just be a messenger.
