I have two babyletto gliders and love them both (one in each kid’s room). I thought about moving my oldest kid’s glider into the new nursery, but truthfully, we still get so much use out of that chair.

We got ours from Chita and love it!

Nurture& or whatever that brand is. We love ours

I bought the Nurture& and it's been great so far. Definitely a good option for tall parents. Very affordable for being power recline. It took a little breaking in, it was very firm at first but is comfy now. I've been using it for my toddlers room until baby gets here and now that I'm about to need it for baby in my room, I'm low key considering buying a second one 🫣 but that also seems excessive. Only thing I didn't love was limited fabric choices.

My best friend got the Poterry Barn Paxton chair, that was going to be my next choice option if I didnt like the Nurture&.

The Nurture& return policy is pretty cool from what I remember, basically if you dont like it, you show proof that you donated it (instead of having to ship it back) and you'll get a refund.

I tested out powered glider recliners and liked Pottery Barn’s best for comfort by a large margin. Their Dream recliner was also tall enough for me (5’7”) and my husband (6’2”), which not many were. I ended up getting just a rocking chair for space reasons though, because we couldn’t really dedicate 4 ft by 4 ft to a real recliner.

It took me foreverrrrr to choose one, I also really didn’t want to spend $2k+
We ended up buying this one and it’s beautiful and one of our most used baby items.

We got ours from wayfair and love it . I’d recommend power recliner which is wider

like

We got the stock craft rocking chair due to space constraints but boy do we use it ALL THE TIME! Very affordable and highly rated. Super easy to rock the baby to sleep on it.

like

If you’re going to splurge on one baby item, to me it should be a glider. I have the Oilo Drew and I love it! I went to so many stores to try gliders and it was by far the most comfortable. So many chairs don’t support your neck well and it was one of the few that did.

Hi Fishes,

l interviewed for Deloitte (India not USI) in January, and accepted an offer letter with DOJ of 25th April, later HR asked me to join on 11th April for which I agreed. Now I haven't received the revised offer letter or any links other than BGV and Pre-Hire form from Deloitte and now the HR is not even picking my calls or responding to emails.
Any advice on what to do?

How did you tell your manager you’re pregnant? Did it affect pay/promos? And then, subsequently, how did you start letting colleagues know you’re pregnant? Feels awkward to just randomly drop the news in a meeting! I work remotely so it’s hard to tell by video :) I’m 21 weeks and feel like I’ve waited as long as I can to at least notify my manager. I was waiting to negotiate my salary for next year but per company trend that doesn’t get set until January (manager reviews are written in Dec).

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

What is a good website to use to create a whole custom baby site?

How much did you all pay for the 20 week ultrasound out of pocket? My 12 week ultrasound cost me $600 so I am guessing the 20 week one would be even more expensive. I have the high deductible plan from United healthcare.

I’m having a really hard time with my changing body. 13 weeks, I don’t have too many bad side effects of pregnancy or anything so I consider myself lucky (no nausea ever etc) but I’m depressed at work, my skin is completely broken out and showing new broken face capillaries, and I’m not showing a bump yet so I just feel fat and big. I don’t know where this “glow” is but I look in the mirror and literally am grappling with not recognizing myself :( it’s been impossible to find any clothes too.

Has anyone had a nurse state the assumed sex at 12 week ultrasound? The nurse is fairly sure it's a boy, and I'm wondering how accurate her guess is based on a close look of the genitals. Confirmation won't happen until 20 week appt, too far away!

Did you do the NIPT? I just had my first prenatal appt and they scheduled me for the NIPT at 10 weeks. I’m a little nervous and anxious. Did anyone get it and got a false positive? Do you not recommend it? I wish I could ask family but we’re not telling anyone until the 12 weeks mark.

Any dads out here? Wife is 20 weeks pregnant with our first and want to connect and know from fellow dads on how are they coping. How are you helping your partner? Feel I am not doing enough. Except for getting ready with the finances.

Pregnant moms, feel free to provide suggestions on what your partner is doing which you really appreciate. I got the foot massage part covered. 😉
