What kind of store or company have you always wanted to work for? I've been working in big box chains my whole career, and I love the idea of working for a small, locally owned boutique.

I would love to work for a company like REI, or 5.11. Unfortunately there are fewer opportunities and lower pay than I get at Target.

I couldn’t see myself working in a smallish company unless I owned it. There just isn’t enough growth opportunities.

Hello. I currently work in-house as a Legal Operations Manager. I am working on a project to expand our network of law firms.

Any recommendations of boutique law firms in CA that have experience in commercial litigation for retail/fashion/apparel/home companies? Specifically consumer class action, unfair business practices, false advertising/17200, data privacy.

Thanks for your recommendations.

Additional Posts in Retail & Hospitality

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this in their market?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?
