2014 - $155k, 2024 - $350k.
Not huge growth. I’m a working mom and I prioritized flexibility, stability, and good hours, low travel over chasing $$. Had 2 kids over the past decade, took career breaks to stay home with both my kids. I’m happy where I am and I’m able to WLB work and my young family
Any tips for how to make career growth happen in our space? I started in compliance in 2017 @ $60k and 7 years later I’m @$125k. I went from super large BD+IA to a small IA to make a 35% salary jump. Is it the type of work? I’m doing annual policy reviews, testing, AML, audit responses, I just started on COE work. I have a BS & 4 FINRA licenses. Can you recommend a path to that kind of salary progress? Our deputy CCO is at $200k so I think our ceiling is on the lower end. I’d appreciate any tips!!

I went from an in house role to consulting in 2014; changed jobs in 2019 which helped me go from base salary 120k at the start of the year to 225k salary by the fall. Now I'm an MD, and the comp is good, and my role is very flexible and I like what I do.
35k -> 285k

I was Army. Can’t remember exactly how much I made but I think that was ballpark as an E4. Got out a year and some change after I got back.
10 years ago: $14.00/hr as an executive assistant (just under 30k/yr).
Today: 84k annual = $40/hr as an HRIS Analyst.
I think I was making $22/hour in 2014 and now I’m just under $65/hr.
