What would need to be in a $100 or $200 online course for the CPA exam aimed specifically at the habits, time management, study tips, mindset, and motivation that you need to pass that would make it worth the money? I’m anticipating getting some snarky comments saying nothing or no way they’d buy that 🤪 and that’s okay

you don’t need motivation to pass the exam, you need determination

That’s a false dichotomy, you can use both. I’ll throw self discipline in there as well

Gonna be real honest here and tell you everything like that could be found on Reddit. If you actually did a review on like actual topics or something then I could see the justification

About 100,000 people take it a year, many don’t use Reddit

I wouldn’t pay since there are already several books, programs, etc that speak to these topics, CPA related or not. But I will say that there is a market for pretty much everything. Most of the time management/tips/etc are the same but worded differently to make it seem like some fresh idea. So just do that and have great marketing. 😂

Find an accountability partner. That’s worked for me. Easier to let yourself down but not others.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.

I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.

Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.

JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

New York folks:
Are you aware of the CPA exam credit extension to 2021 for NY CPA candidates impacted by COVID19? It’s on a person-by-person basis and you need to request the extension. Has anyone tried doing this yet? Can anyone shine more light on this? The extension would really help me, but I’m not sure what more to tell them in my email than the fact that I couldn’t sit for the exams this Spring/Summer due to test centers closing in NYC.
