How to tackle gap periods in IT interviews?
Bain & Company Hey! Got dinged at BCG and Mck and then hadn't heard back from Bain, but just found out I made it to final rounds. I haven't been prepping for over a week as it'd be two since my first round at Bain.
Help! Whats different or similar about Bain final rounds? I'm applying to Texas offices for an experienced AC role. I also may have to have an accelerated final round as I'm leaving the country for most of April. Bain & Company

Titles hold some measure of initial credibility, but action is where the rubber hits the road. Do they know what they’re talking about, who to engage, how to navigate a complex problem, etc?
Some senior engineers are great, others have gotten lazy and rest on their title so much that their output is far eclipsed by L1/L2 engineers with motivation to grow their careers.
It is normally used a tool to retain people. Not necessary a reflection on experience, some have rightfully earnt the title.
If the work you did was senior level, then you were a senior engineer. Typically the senior engineer would have some mentoring role, officially out not, typically more "expert" than some others, and manage projects.
If you feel guilty about it then you could discuss in an interview (read the room) and say, "This company would not use the title of "senior...." on a business card, but here's the senior level responsibility and roles that I did on a regular basis. "
At the end of the day, your judgement and what you are comfortable with.
