Please don’t look at it this way. There is no “usual” age nor progression. Every case and every person is different and trying to compare is a recipe for unhappiness.
Age is the wrong way to look at it. I'm a strategist and there's an associate director on my team who's younger than I am (both under 30). They have more relevant experience and have been here longer, so age has nothing to do with it.
Soo many things play into what your title may be, like your relevant experience, size/age of the company, size of the department, etc.
There’s no set track to these things, and given the wide variety of life experiences that bring people to strategy, it’s not a fair comparison to look at age alone.
Depends when you start. If you’re amazing you’ll get promoted every 2-4 years, otherwise it could be 4-7 years.
I made big jumps early in my career, and have now levelled out. I can categorically tell you, it means fuck all. Just focus on the work, and the elements that make it better. Make sure any juniors you look after are learning. Make sure account people feel like they can lean on you to sell the work, hard. And make sure creatives you work with feel inspired and are given the room to think weird.
I think the person should be at least 23 years of age I don’t think it really matter
Don’t worry. Get really good. Constantly push for constructive advice on how to advance. I’ve seen so many overtitled people crash and burn in their first big chance. And the opposite. Get good. Get good. Get good.
Age, titles, salary... don't compare. Or compare without the spirit of 'keeping up with the Jones'. This isn't a race. Everyone has their own track in life.
