I think a lot of it is state dependent. When I was in NYC, there were city/state laws that needed to be followed but now that I'm in NJ, it's only "suggested"
I’m a knowledge worker in Fortune 500. We don’t have any policy in our corporate offices that I’m aware of.
We just have the 1 hour unpaid lunch policy here.
We get a 30 minute unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks. Sadly though its so busy that most of us have to work through our clocked out lunch and don't even get to take advantage of the two 15 minute breaks.
Gross that brake policy seems short and cruel if I’m being honest, we get two 15 minute pay breaks one in the morning one in the afternoon and then our lunch is an hour and we stagger that but that’s on paid so I thought our brake policy was limited, but glad I don’t have yours
