I have a hard time making any kind of decision once I get home. I refer to it as “decision fatigue.” I am the person making decisions all day at work, so when I say I don’t mind what we eat for dinner or where we go, I really mean it. I’ll cook or help cook, but I’m definitely NOT up to the task of making those decisions.
Same. What a relief to hear someone else refer to this as “decision fatigue.”
What you describe sounds like clinical depression, not just burnout. If this condition interferes with your daily life, you should seek professional advice. The consequences could be serious if left untreated. Ask me how I know.
You are absolutely right. This pandemic has def led to me create habits that aren’t beneficial to me and I didn’t even realize I was forming bad habits until five weeks in. Running has always been my go to activity to keep me happy and stable but it’s been rather easy to skip runs now that I’m working later and sleeping in.
Same. The burn out entails being irritable or unable to socialize. Isolating myself. Caring less about my appearance or life in general. I do see someone weekly and it helps. DM if you wanna talk about any of it. You’re not alone.
