Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

Been with the firm 5+ years and I would say no competition at all, which is a huge benefit.
I think the reason, compared to other firms, is we don’t have up or out and we have no control over staffing until you are quite senior. So it doesn’t really leave anything to “compete” on.
Not trying to pain a false positive picture. We have plenty of faults, especially with our leadership. Just competitiveness amongst our consulting staff is not one of them.
Yup, exactly. It normally take 6-12 months to be eligible for dedication (so that you learn the firm first) but LS is the one except that we allow hiring straight into those dedicated roles.
LS staff will only do LS work. In rare occurrences they can bleed into some Healthcare services work but that’s more of an opt in situation.
Probably both like everywhere else

Of all my bschool classmates, the ones at LEK complain the most about a toxic culture.
Much more than most other firms, I believe.
Some of the stuff I hear is hard to believe - like getting screamed at publicly by your manager on a regular basis (and this being seen as normal).
If you have another option, I would stay away.
C1 has the best advice. Talk to actual employees in the office you’re targeting (ideally in a vertical you’re interested in). DM me if you want an introduction
I’ve heard more complaints that our offices are too quiet than of anyone getting yelled at. I was actually super surprised at how not toxic our environment is considering LEK didn’t have the best rep at my b school either. Overall it’s very collaborative since no one needs to beat out others to get promoted (e.g., we’re not ranked, utilization isn’t shown or considered in consensus discussions, there’s not set slots for promotion).
In 3 years, I can think of one instance where a relatively new C made an A cry, but the C was fired shortly after (for multiple reasons). The C was ex-Deloitte fwiw.
