Would it make sense as a fifth-year to do a federal clerkship to try to come back and get into BL? I’m currently at $140k. It looks like true BL associates from my class are >$300k. And would federal clerkship even guarantee a BL job?

Advice: how to manage a reapplication as a R3 applicant who was waitlisted and finally dinged last week. Currently A at KPMG (<2 YOE) with high certainty of promotion to SA in Sept. Enjoy working with my team, great WLB, and strong network for someone at my level. Current base = 75k with promotion bringing it to 92k minimum.

I have two offers at ~105k base, 15k signing for C and SA roles at other B4 which is a ~50% raise from current base but ~10-15% raise from SA base. Is it worth it to hop this early in my career or should I stick it out for a while to build more experience?

Am I underpaid? I have 2 YOE and was just promoted to senior analyst at a niche boutique consulting firm calculating economic damages.

I started at $76k in Fall 2020. I got bumped up to $80k in Summer 2021, but the Fall 2021 analyst class also started at $80k. We just hired a new analyst at $83k.

My salary increase from analyst -> senior analyst was 16% to $93k. Am I unreasonable for wanting to apply the 16% increase to something like 85k so I end up at like 99k?
