175k -200k plus about 20-30k in equity at today's val, spread over a 4 year vest. Depends on geo and whether you are a generalist (corp, etc) or commercial. Commercial generally paid less. This would be for a Series C or later private co in SV/SF.

Also there's likely a cash bonus and you could ask for a signing bonus....
Check Robert Half. Also be very skeptical of any equity offered by a startup. There is a small chance it will pay out, but a much better chance that it will never amount to anything.
No problem. Recently went in house at a $5b tech company, so feel free to DM me if you have specific questions.

Check Lawyer Whisperer blog q&a.
It's really hard to say, because in house is more variable than biglaw. Offhand, for what OP is describing, I'd say $150-200 including salary, bonus and 401k, plus some equity with a small chance it pays out.
This is consistent with my experience. I was an AGC at an RIA with a 3-person legal team and ~80 employees. My base salary was $140k with a discretionary year-end bonus that ranged from $25-35k. The firm was based in NYC, but I worked out of a satellite office in a secondary market, which likely affected my salary.
Damn, not even a hint of a number? From what I have seen, those blogs just have vague guidance. Anyone have any (anonymous) real numbers?
