This post isn’t relevant without knowing where you live. If it’s Chicago, your SOL on flying delta
Rising Star
This is entirely dependent on where you live. I assume Chicago since you mentioned it - Delta is terrible out of Chicago, you will have almost no direct flight options and it will be more expensive bc this is not a hub location. United will have exponentially more options, which is good for cost and planning as well as any time you get delayed or cancelled you have significantly more options to fix the issue.
I think United would be your best bet. They have great connectivity to Asia + they have extensive hub out of ORD.
Southwest is honestly my fave bc I like the employees/customer service and can use my points domestically SO easily. But yeah Chicago is gonna be united for a larger airline.
Pro
I would rather walk than fly SWA. To each their own.
Hub first
These replies all make sense. I didnt know that delta is horrible out of Chicago. My hub is Chicago I live 1 hour away. I will have to change my preferred airline to united haha.
Delta is the best.
In the US, for domestic flights, Delta is the best option. They tried empathy many years ago and they truly had an inflection point.
All airlines suck, they just suck less.
