Between Deloitte, A&M, and Guidehouse I’d say Guidehouse is the best by far. But I’m not sure that is saying too much given I think I might hate working in professional services generally

Kearney used to be great.

None of them. The best experience is when you are doing work you enjoy with people you like and clients you love. I've had the best project at the consulting firm I least liked and now dealing with toxic folk at the consulting company I like most. 😆

like

Huron so far

I can see it. Like most consulting firms it’s hugely dependent on the division and sometimes even the projects you’re on.

Guidehouse for being remote and having DTO

If you enjoy your team and the consulting firm you are with, would you change employment at this moment if another firm offers you $30k more in compensation?

Sure as hell not LEK

like

Depends.

What makes it the best? WLB? Pay? Culture? Leaders? Tech?

- Huron- WLB
- PwC - pay cohort
- Deloitte - Tech tools
- KPMG - culture

like

What was so special about the tools at D? And would it be hard to recreate elsewhere?

A&M. Less red tape than other big firms

like

We’re adding more red tape every week it seems but this place is still the best

LEK hands down

Kearney so far. Before people start responding- it’s a personal experience- everyone has their own. Have experienced a lot of good support, mentorship, people genuinely interested in your growth.

Haven’t done one project past 11 pm local time! (That too maybe thrice in 8 weeks). Very satisfactory WLB on an average.

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? Specially that he considers the potential layoff is purely based on the current situation (chargeability was low) and not on his performance (they said that his contribution to BD during his bench time was low)?
