What’s the best course to study for BEC? I have Becker but thinking of getting a new one.

Hi all! I need help deciding which one of these I should choose -
Senior manager at PWC (80k£ base + 5900£ allowance) or
Manager at Accenture (70k£ base + 5000£ allowance, this would be a promotion)

How common is it to land a high paying role in tech from an unrelated industry if you have the experience? Is it easier to crack into from the inside?

Associate at an AmLaw 100 firm doing patent work. I applied to a part time masters program to try to pivot to a different technical field (still doing patent work, but in something that interests me more than what I’m doing now). Do I try to stick it out at the firm while getting the masters, ask for a reduced hours schedule, or get a part time, non-legal job so I can focus more on the program (one year).

With regards to learning, future opportunities, and transferable skills, which one is a better next step? Solution Consultant or Project Manager?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

If you are leaving your firm and putting in your two weeks notice, what should be on your checklist to make sure your transition is the smoothest, both for you and for the firm you’re leaving?

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

Any tips for moving up in a medium/large-sized legal department, aside from switching companies? I work in a collegial environment with plenty of opportunities to create more value, but the management level is fairly crowded and it seems the clearest path to get one of those roles is to be hired into it. My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. I have a number of books on contracts that I’ve found super helpful over the years (The Tech Contracts Handbook, A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting, Sign Here, etc.). Hi everyone, should a Java Spring backend developer (2.5 y.o.e) go for SAP Hybris? Hybris uses Spring Framework internally as I am told but I want to grow as a Java backend developer and want to work with microservices based projects. I accepted an offer from another consulting firm and my H1B visa has also been transferred. I have not joined the new role yet. However I had been interviewing with another firm and expecting an offer I know this is not the best practice but is it allowed to accept another offer even though H1 transfer has been approved through another employer? If I accept the second offer does this raise any red flags with USCIS as they potentially see 2 almost consecutive visa transfer requests?

I passed my exam and need an experience certificate from my former employer but they want me to send over a state application form which they would fill out but Massachusetts does not have ang such form.

So took FAR today, felt good about it. For the most part I felt questions were from stuff i ready and felt was easy. Now am not sure if I got everything of it but I also know1/2

Do you think that I will get job offers after I pass the CPA exam? Not one compony will even give me a chance because I don’t have experience, even though I have passed some of the exams already.

Oh my god. I am finally done with the CPA. It took me 5 years and I failed so many times, lost credit, spent thousands of dollars on different study materials, coffees, pens, etc. I can’t believe this day has finally come for me. If you’re struggling please don’t give up and don’t compare yourself to someone else. It will eventually happen for you if you keep pushing!
